The workshop titled “A Hands-on Introduction to Quantum Machine Learning (QML)” delivered by Dr. Hakan DOĞA was held on March 2, 2026 at 10:30 AM in Room C101 of the Faculty Building. The event attracted significant interest and provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of quantum machine learning (QML) as well as current developments in the field.

We first met with our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Yunus Ziya Arslan. Afterwards, we toured our laboratories together and had a brief and productive discussion with our students.

A workshop titled “A Hands-on Introduction to Quantum Machine Learning (QML)” will be delivered by Dr. Hakan DOĞA on March 2, 2026. In his talk, Dr. DOĞA will review the fundamental principles of quantum machine learning and outline the current directions in which the field is evolving.

Dean’s Office Handover Ceremony of Our Faculty
The Dean’s Office handover ceremony was held at our Faculty on January 29, 2026. Following the completion of Prof. Dr. Yunus Ziya Arslan’s term as Dean, Prof. Dr. Aysu Yarman was appointed as Acting Dean of our Faculty. The ceremony was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız; our General Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Ferit Küçükay; our Vice Rectors, Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş and Prof. Dr. Hamide Özden Özkaya Ferendeci; Prof. Dr. Yunus Ziya Arslan; as well as the academic and administrative staff of our Faculty. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız, expressed his gratitude to Prof. Dr. Yunus Ziya Arslan for his contributions to our Faculty and wished Prof. Dr. Aysu Yarman success in her new role. On behalf of our Faculty, we also extend our sincere thanks to Prof. Dr. Yunus Ziya Arslan for his dedicated service.

Achievement of TUBITAK program
The project proposal titled “Solar cell auto-control with EEG signals” is being carried out under the scientific advice of Dr. Dilek Göksel Duru, Faculty Member, Department of Molecular Biotechnology, Faculty of Science, approved under the "TÜBİTAK-BİDEB 2209/A" program to support undergraduate research projects.
The Achievement of our Students at TEKNOFEST 2023
The team “nanoWISS” established by the students of Molecular Biotechnology and Materials Science and Technology Departments of the Faculty of Science of the Turkish-German University has been awarded financial support for their project “Design of Lipid Nanoparticles for Biofilms” from TEKNOFEST 2023 Biotechnological Innovation Competition in the field of “Bioinformatics and Nanotechnology”.
